Unacceptable – this is how Councillor Adrian Ali describes the situation at the Bridal Road Bridge which he says began to deteriorate within 24 hours of reopening after repairs.

The ribbon was cut for the bridge on Friday after being under construction for almost a year.

However, Munroe Road/Caroni Savannah Councillor Adrian Ali says the work done was substandard.

He believes a full investigation is needed, adding that the contractor involved must rectify the paving deterioration immediately.

Councillor Ali describes the project as “a serious failure.”
