The Congress of the People says to suggest that there is any issue between its leadership and the Coalition of Interests is baseless and designed for sensationalism.

A media release came in response to a Guardian Media article which the COP called a “sensational headline”.

In the statement, the party reaffirms its confidence in the new government and says it will work with the coalition partners, under the continued leadership of Prakash Ramadhar.

It underscored its commitment to its post-election objectives, including collaborating closely with the government to ensure campaign commitments are kept.
