Police have found approximately half a million dollars worth of cocaine hidden in a popcorn machine.
During an exercise between 1pm and 5pm yesterday, officers went to a courier shipping company in Aranguez to investigate a suspicious package.
A search of the premises resulted in the discovery of 17 brown coloured packets hidden inside a popcorn machine.
The packets contained 360 grams of cocaine with an estimated street value of TT$501,811.
Meanwhile in a separate exercise yesterday, several searches were conducted in Guapo, which resulted in the discovery of 1.5 pounds of marijuana in a bushy area.
Two suspects were also arrested in connection with various offences including possession of a weapon.
