The Bridal Road Bridge has been officially re-opened.

The bridge has been under construction for almost a year, with protests by residents in recent months over the slow pace of work.

This week, the Works and Transport Ministry promised that it would be reopened in time for the new school term and would help alleviate traffic.

Meanwhile, the bridge on Perseverance Road was also reopened today after repairs.

That bridge was closed on August 1st 2024 after cracks appeared on the roadway and at the base.
