The Blind Welfare Association is hoping to establish its Tobago headquarters within the next few years.
On Monday, THA Assemblyman Dr. Faith B.Yisrael officially handed over a deed to lands in Bacolet to Blind Welfare Association President Felix Cazoe.
She also committed to help Association attain its goal of constructing its Tobago headquarters, which Mr Cazoe hopes will be done within the next 40 months.
According to Blind Welfare Association Executive Officer Kenneth Suratt, the new building must meet the standards to be green, and able to withstand hurricanes.
He says it will also be self-reliant in terms of its water and power supply, so it can function even when services are down.
