A soldier has been granted $150,000 bail after appearing in court on charges relating to the accident that killed 55-year-old Neil Ballai.
Ballai died on March 28th when his Kiss truck overturned after being hit by a car along the Sir Solomon Hochoy Highway.
Jalani Mapp appeared virtually before a Master of the High Court today charged with: causing death by dangerous driving, failing to stop after a road traffic accident, dangerous driving, failure to render assistance, and driving without a certificate of insurance.
He was not called upon to plead and was ordered to report to a police station one day in the first week of every month between 6am and 6pm.
