A 43-year-old man has been granted $20,000 bail after appearing in court charged with Cruelty to a Child.

The accused has also been ordered to report to the Moruga Police Station three times a week and is not to have any contact with the victim unless permitted by the Children’s Authority.

Around 8:45pm on February 10th 2025 the accused is alleged to have physically abused his son while holding a knife.

The matter was reported the next day, leading the man’s arrest.

He is expected to reappear in court on March 17th 2025.
