A Rio Claro man has been denied bail after appearing in court for sexually assaulting his aunt.

The 32-year-old was remanded into custody by Master Sarah De Silva, with the matter postponed to August 20th 2024.

The accused had the responsibility of caring for the victim, who is recovering from a medical condition that has rendered her immobile and unable to speak.

Her husband told police that on the night of February 9th, he came home to find his nephew with his wife and pulling up his pants.

A medical exam later revealed that she had been assaulted.
