The programme includes all 18 million hectares of forest in Guyana, which is about 85 percent of the landmass.
The venture enables the country to benefit from its historically low deforestation rate, while funding low-carbon development priorities.
The move supports the country’s low-carbon development strategy.
While Apple says it’s part of its global efforts to fight climate change and work collaboratively with its suppliers and local communities.
