The Works Ministry has advised that specific areas at the San Fernando Central Secondary School be demolished and rebuilt.
This is according to Education Minister Dr Nyan Gadsby-Dolly, who told 103.1FM News this afternoon that an assessment was done recently by that Ministry at the school, popularly known as Modsec.
She says based on that assessment, a schedule has been put in place, with Forms 5 and 6 to attend school daily, and lower forms in rotation.
Today, 103.1FM News received a complaint from stakeholders, who believe children are being disadvantaged.
They also expressed concern about the state of the school’s washrooms and other facilities.
Dr Gadsby-Dolly says the Ministry is presently discussing alternative accommodation arrangements so that all students will be able to attend classes daily while the necessary rebuilding is being done.
Once these are finalized, she says parents will be notified.
