A 70-year-old vendor has been charged with murder.

Jabari Azikiwe Phillip, a 31-year-old taxi driver, died after being stabbed in the chest during an altercation on August 2nd 2024.

The incident took place at the intersection of Henry Street and Independence Square North in Port of Spain.

The elderly accused is due to appear before a Master of the High Court today.
