Five suspects were held in Matura in connection with uttering false bank notes.

On Thursday 18th April, 2024, two proprietors made separate reports at the Matura Police Station, each indicating receipt of fraudulent $100 dollar bills during a transaction earlier that day.

Around 7:15pm, officers on a road check duty in the vicinity of the Matura Police Station, stopped a white Nissan Almera with five occupants.

Upon searching the vehicle, they found a hat containing quantity of cash, along with twenty fraudulent $100 bills.

All five suspects were detained: three men and two women between 22 and 27 years old.
