49 Venezuelan Nationals were held by police overnight.

Between 11pm on Saturday and 6am on Sunday, officers conducted searches at multiple locations across the Central Division based on actionable intelligence.

The individuals – 41 females and 8 males – were apprehended for illegal entry into the country.

The TTPS says they are to be transferred to the Immigration Detention Centre in Aripo for further processing.
