About 300 marijuana trees have been found in Gran Couva.

During an exercise yesterday afternoon, officers trekked some 400 meters in a forested area off Caratal Road, Tortuga.

They discovered a field with about 100 fully-grown high grade trees and 200 juvenile trees.

The TTPS says young trees were destroyed, while the fully-grown trees – valued at approximately $250,000 – were uprooted and taken to the Couva Police Station.
