The National Flag will be flown at half-mast from today in observance of the passing of former Prime Minister Basdeo Panday.

Mr Panday’s death at the age of 90 was confirmed last evening by his daughter Mickela.

The National Security Ministry has since advised all state and non-state agencies, as well as T&T diplomatic missions abroad to fly the flag at half-mast or half-staff.

Mr Panday was Prime Minister of T&T from November 1995 to December 2001.
