A Player of the Match performance from Andre Russell was not enough, as LA Knight Riders have now picked up four losses from four matches in the 2023 Major League Cricket.

Russell hit 70 not out from 37 balls, with six fours and six sixes, as LA made 175/7 batting first.

However, their opponents last night, Washington Freedom, eased to their target in 18.1 overs, making 177/4 with a top score of 43 from Matthew Short.

Short was bowled by Narine to give the T&T spinner his only wicket.

LA Knight Riders remain at the bottom of the MLC table, yet to get a point in this, the inaugural tournament.

Action continues at 5:30pm today with a top of the table clash between Dwayne Bravo and the first-placed Texas Super Kings and the Seattle Orcas who have Shimron Hetmyer and Hayden Walsh.
