Persistent rainfall in parts of North East Trinidad has affected operations at some of WASA’s water treatment facilities.

The Authority says this is due to high turbidity caused by the heavy rains and clogged screens caused by flooded river conditions.

The facilities affected are L&N, Guanapo and La Pastora.

This has in turn impacted the water supply to areas such as Arima, Lopinot and parts of Maracas, St Joseph.
