Minister responds to claims about unsafe and unsuitable schools

The Education Minister has responded to claims by TTUTA that over 20 schools were recently re-opened despite unsafe and unsuitable conditions.

According to the union, concerns include pest infestations as well as utility and infrastructure issues.

In the Senate yesterday however, Dr Nyan Gadsby-Dolly said her Ministry has no report indicating such.

When asked by UNC Senator Wade Mark about reports of a pest infestation in a school in Preysal, the Minister simply stated that the school had been dealt with.
