WASA has confirmed the appointment of Keithroy Halliday as its new Chief Executive Officer.
He is due to assume office on November 1st 2024.
According to WASA, he will lead a restructured nine-member leadership team at the Authority, with other members of the new leadership team to be announced early in the coming week.
Mr Halliday is a former General Manager of the Barbados Water Authority.
According to WASA’s profile, he advanced the BWA’s finances to a zero-budget entity for the past four years, during which the organisation was able to cover all its operational expenses, with external funding now only required for more significant national priority capital expenditure needs.
He also previously worked in T&T, spending a decade as General Manager in the telecommunications retail industry.
In welcoming the new CEO, WASA Chairman Ravi Nanga said: “Mr Halliday has an enviable track record of success and his mix of knowledge and experience will bring inspirational leadership to the continuing transformation of the Authority. We are eager for his arrival and the installation of the rest of the leadership team, and we are looking forward to working together as we move WASA to be the utility of the future.”
