A suspect in a recent spate of courier robberies has been held by police.

Between February and August 2024, several businesses reported that their couriers had been robbed of packages, cash and other valuables in the Freeport district.

The TTPS says all six incidents had the same MO and same suspect description, with the same contact number also being used to place orders with the online businesses.

During an exercise conducted at Beaucarro Road, Freeport on Monday, officers held the 21-year-old Couva man and seized several items.

Investigations are continuing.
