The PNM will soon begin screening for General Election candidates.

In a statement, the party reminds that a call for nominations was issued back in June 2024 for nine constituencies.

They are: Barataria/San Juan, Caroni East, Chaguanas East, Cumuto/Manzanilla, Fyzabad, Mayaro, Moruga/Tableland, Pointe-a-Pierre and St Augustine.

That nomination period is due to end at 4pm this Thursday, with screening to begin shortly after.

The party says it is looking forward to fielding 41 candidates in the 41 constituencies whenever the General Election is called.
