The HDC is continuing its collection drive and evictions today in San Fernando and Chaguanas.

According to the corporation, it published a list of 692 names in the daily newspapers and some of these individuals heeded the call to settle their outstanding payments.

Those who did not are to be evicted – a process that starts with a Letter of Arrears to the errant tenant and ends with eviction if the arrears are not settled.

The HDC says it is never its intention to evict but this has become necessary to recover millions of dollars owed to the corporation and to reclaim the housing units to be given to those in need.

Evictions continue today at Cypress Hills in San Fernando and Lions Gate in Chaguanas.
