Several teachers are receiving training to communicate with migrant children properly, when they enter the public school system from September.

The Government recently announced that such children, whose parents are properly registered in T&T, will be able to be enrolled.

TTUTA’s President is hopeful that educators and school administrators will be welcoming in the school environment to these migrant children.

However, he has called for parents and persons within the community to be accepting as well and to treat these pupils with respect.
