WASA says it is working on sewer overflows near 24th Street in Beetham Gardens.

In a media release, it notes that the situation developed after the demolition of a building which resulted in the exposure of the sewer collection pipeline.

Further investigations revealed that the end cap for the pipeline was not in place, allowing for overflows.

WASA says it will conduct pump down activity while arranging to cap the exposed pipeline.
