Trade unions will march through San Fernando tomorrow in commemoration of International Workers Day – May Day.
According to the OWTU, the march starts at 9am outside its headquarters on Circular Road.
It culminates at Harris Promenade with an address by the President General of Contractors and General Workers Trade Union (CGWTU), Ermine De Bique-Meade.
The theme for this year’s event is “Unite to Fight, One Movement! One Voice! Justice for All!”
March Route: begins on Circular Rd unto Royal Rd, turn west unto Royal Rd, and proceed unto Coffee St, along Coffee St to Lord St, down Lord St to Mucurapo St, south along Mucurapo St to Sutton St, east along Sutton to Cipero St, turn right unto Cipero and then right unto Rushworth, proceeding west to the western carriageway of Independence Avenue unto Chancery Lane, continuing unto lower High St, turning right and then left unto High St, up High St to Library Corner and then unto Harris Promenade.
