Five persons are expected to appear virtually in court today, charged with possession of forged currency.
The accused are jointly charged with Possession of Forged Currency.
One faces an additional charge of Uttering of Forged Currency, while another was also charged with Possession of Firearm and Possession of Ammunition.
The five – three men and two women – were arrested in Matura on April 18th following reports from two business owners who allegedly received fraudulent $100 bills.
When they were detained, police found 20 forged $100 notes in their vehicle.
