Efforts are being made to establish a new franchise cricket event that will attract top international teams.
This revelation came today from Guyana’s President Dr Mohammed Irfaan Ali, as he spoke the CARICOM Regional Cricket Conference on Reinvigorating West Indies Cricket.
Meanwhile Barbados’ Prime Minister Mia Mottley spoke about the need to secure the future of cricket in the West Indies by investing in technology.
She also called for efforts to ensure the viability of jobs linked to cricket in the region, saying while not all may be able wear the maroon, all can participate at different levels to make a living.
