Tonight, 11-year-old Michael Seegobin will be among three youngsters competing for the coveted title of MasterChef Junior.

The competition, headed by celebrity Michelin star chef Gordon Ramsey, hosts its finale tonight.

It will be broadcast from 8pm on FOX35.

Michael has Trini roots – his father, Lieutenant Deen Seegobin, is from Trinidad and currently works with Marion County Fire Rescue, in Florida.

Michael has impressed throughout the competition, demonstrating an ability to handle the intense environment in the competition kitchen.

In addition to the title of MasterChef Junior, the winner will take home a grand prize of $100,000.
