T&T head coach Dwight Yorke has named Russell Latapy as his assistant coach for the men’s national football team.
Both men played for T&T from the very late 80s until around 2009 and were both part of the squad that made it to the 2006 FIFA World Cup in Germany.
According to TTFA Media, Yorke has also brought in former Manchester United U-23 Head Coach Neil Wood as another assistant, while retaining Derek King as his third assistant.
Australian Strength and Conditioning Coach Anthony Crea is also on board as Yorke begins work to try to take T&T to the 2026 World Cup.
T&T are currently 2nd in Group B of the second round of CONCACAF World Cup qualifiers after a 2-2 draw with Grenada and a 7-1 win over Bahamas.
They still have to face St Kitts and Nevis and Costa Rica in a bid to finish in the top two in the group and advance to the third round of qualification.
