Works Ministry removing duplicated road lines on Solomon Hochoy H’way

Works are in progress to remove old road markings along the north and south bound lanes of the Sir Solomon Hochoy Highway, in the vicinity of Seereeram Brothers in Chase Village.

This was confirmed by the PURE Unit Programme Manager, Hayden Phillip, who said the old lines are currently being removed using a grinding process.

He said the recent heavy rains have affected the current night time road rehab works, but assured that this process will now continue regardless of the weather.

Mr Phillip added that the PURE Unit is aware of the dangers posed by the current line duplications, but said once the road works are completed and the highway is paved, permanent markings will be done.

A release from the Works Ministry on June 11th said works are scheduled to be completed by June 27th.
