The Works Ministry says its PURE Unit is in the final stages of reconstruction of the Manzanilla Mayaro Road.

In an update shared to social media, the Ministry says it leveraged new technology to produce bitumen-stabilized material, using reclaimed and recycled asphalt pavement from its stockpiles.

It adds that when fully completed, the project will reignite and bolster tourism, cottage industries and the vibrant community life in the area.

The Manzanilla Mayaro Road is a crucial route linking Sangre Grande and Manzanilla to Ortoire, Mayaro and Guayaguayare.
