Later today, there will be word regarding the role of Police Commissioner.

This message was conveyed to 103.1FM News during a brief interview this morning with Minister of Homeland Security, Roger Alexander.

Though a decision was announced on Monday to reinstate suspended Commissioner Erla Harewood-Christopher, reports indicate that she has not yet received a letter from the Police Service Commission allowing her to do so.

Additionally, her current contract is set to expire tomorrow, May 15th 2025.

Her contract can be extended for an additional one year period, however that decision reportedly lies with the Cabinet.
