A 44-year-old woman is among several persons held during weekend exercises across the country.

According to the TTPS, the woman was held during an overnight operation focusing on Duncan Street, St. Paul Street, George Street and Beetham Gardens.

She was said to be in possession of a quantity of cocaine, TT currency and a scale.

Five suspects were also held in La Romaine yesterday for offences such as possession of cannabis and possession of cocaine.

A 40-year-old man was also held by Sangre Grande police yesterday, after a homemade shot gun and two 12 gauge cartridges were found in his vehicle.
