West Indies women have knocked tournament favourites England out of the T20 World Cup, pulling off a chase of 142 in Dubai.
England women 141/7 with Nat Sciver-Brunt scoring 57 and Afy Fletcher taking 3/21.
Hayley Matthews took 2/35 and Deandra Dottin grabbed 1/16.
In reply, Matthews (50) and Qiana Joseph (52) put on 102 runs for the first wicket to give West Indies a solid, almost unshakeable foundation.
They eventually got to 144/4 in 18 overs to finish top of Group B and set up a semi-final affair with New Zealand on Friday at 10am T&T time.
The day before, Australia and South Africa will face off in the other semi-final.
Today was a different kind of day for the West Indies men’s team which was bowled out for 89 in a 73-run loss to Sri Lanka in the second T20i.
That series is now level 1-1.
