The West Indies need 289 runs on the final day of the Port of Spain Test to beat India and level the series 1-1, but their struggles with the bat put them at a strong disadvantage.
At stumps on Day 4, the home team were 76 for 2, chasing 365 after India decided to declare 181/2 in their second innings, a bold move by the visitors.
Ravi Ashwin, the spinner who has enforced destruction amongst the Windies batsman on this tour, continued his dismissal ways, taking the two tickets so far.
With Kraigg Brathwaite already back in the stands, the onus will be on youngster Tagenarine Chanderpaul, and Jermaine Blackwood to see through the early part of Day 5 on Monday for the Windies to stand a chance at a draw, or dare we say–a win.
