WASA says there has been an “unforeseen delay” in the repairs at the North Oropouche Water Treatment Plant.

Emergency works are continuing to fix two leaks on the 42-inch transmission pipeline off the Plant.

It adds that crews are working around the clock to allow a restart and restore service by 6pm today.

Areas affected include Brazil, La Horquetta, Malabar, Coalmine, Carapo, Town of Sangre Grande, Manzanilla, Guaico Tamana, Vega De Oropouche, Maloney, and Five Rivers.
