Mechanical issues at the Piparo Booster Station have led to a water disruption in parts of South East Trinidad.

According to WASA, repair work is underway, with restoration expected by 6pm on Wednesday.

Affected areas include: New Grant, George Village, Piparo, Whiteland, Mayo and Robert Village.

Additionally, there is a water disruption in other parts of South East Trinidad due to the diversion of pipelines to facilitate landslip repairs.

Areas affected in this instance include Charuma, Biche and Plum Mitan.

WASA says restoration is expected by 6pm today.
