While conditions have improved, a number of WASA’s surface water treatment plants continue to be impacted by previous adverse weather.

In an update at 10am, the Authority listed the affected facilities as being Tompire, Matura, Quare, Aripo, La Pastora, and McDavid.

It says these plants are out of operation due to flooded river conditions and high turbidity, which have resulted in clogged intake screens.

It adds that remedial works are in progress, with further updates to be provided.
