WASA says it is working to stabilize the situation as it relates to ongoing water challenges in Caparo, Todd’s Road and environs.
A release from the Authority said the water supply rotation has been impacted by dry season conditions, reduced production at the Caroni Water Treatment Plant and operational challenges at the Longdenville Booster Station due to a critically low water supply.
To address the shortfall, WASA has implemented mitigation measures, including a supplementary supply from the Carlsen Field Water Treatment Plant and increased truck-borne deliveries.
It also expressed disappointment in a protest held this morning in the area and urged residents to be “patient” as they work with stakeholders, including Councilor Anil Balliram and the Caparo and Chickland Village Councils, to restore normalcy in the supply.
