WASA to replace clearwell at Valsayn Water Works

An infrastructure upgrade project has been started at the Valsayn Water Works, aimed at enhancing water supply to around 40,000 people.

According to WASA, they are seeking to replace an aging 500,000-gallon concrete clearwell, with a 750,000-gallon steel clearwell.

The concrete structure, it adds, has reached the end of its service life, showing severe internal degradation.

WASA says the work is expected to benefit residents living in multiple communities, including Wharf Trace, Lower St. Joseph, and Tunapuna.
