WASA says it is working to address the issue of a discoloured water supply in parts of South West Trinidad.

The issue has reportedly impacted Granville, Coromandel, Bonasse, Fullerton, Los Gallos, Icacos and surrounding communities.

WASA says teams are carrying out remedial works at the Granville Water Treatment Plant, and expects the situation to be resolved by February 19th 2025.

In the meantime, it says regular flushing exercises will be done throughout the distribution system to minimize discolouration.

In cases where the supply is discoloured, it recommends running taps for a short period until the water clears.
