WASA investigates vandalism and theft in Gasparillo

WASA has launched an investigation into acts of vandalism and thefts in Gasparillo, between March 31st and April 1st.

According to a release, an initial inspection has reported that 34 residential connections were vandalized, brass fittings and service lines were stolen and a pipe-cutting device was discovered by WASA personnel.

This has resulted in a disruption to the area’s water supply, however the Authority has mobilized emergency repairs to ensure that a reliable water supply is restored.

WASA has condemned the acts, noting that the police and forensic services continue investigations to determine the cause and the extent of the damage.
