WASA says an independent lab has been engaged to conduct further tests of water being distributed to Maracas Valley.

On Friday, concerns were raised to WASA about possible contamination of the water supply and WASA’s internal tests found that the water was safe in keeping with WHO standards.

However, WASA says it will verify its results with an independent lab.

In the interim, it says residents who believe their water may be contaminated can boil water for drinking purposes.
