WASA says heavy rainfall has impacted several Water Treatment facilities in north-eastern Trinidad.

In an update at 12:30pm today, it says the facilities are out of operation due to high turbidity, clogged screens and flooded river conditions.

Affected communities include Matura, Santa Rosa, Surrey Village, parts of Malabar and Maracas, St Joseph.
