WASA assures its water is safe as old voice note re-circulates

WASA has launched an investigation into claims that its water is unsafe, after an old voice note began re-circulating on social media.

The Authority is reminding the public that its water is safe to use and meets international guidelines.

WASA says in March last year, it responded to the unsubstantiated message, which warned that drinking pipe borne water may result in illness.

Denouncing the voice note as false and misleading, the Authority also says it performs ongoing sampling and testing of the water it produces throughout Trinidad and Tobago.
