A 27-year-old Wallerfield man has appeared in court charged with the murder of Hyacinth Gardener on February 5th 2024.

The 73-year-old woman was found dead at her home in Pinto, and investigators believe she was beaten to death.

A US resident, Ms Gardener was in the country for Carnival and to continue renovations to her home.

Sherwayne Williams appeared before Master Sara De Silva, in the High Court of Justice, Criminal Court North on February 16th, with the matter adjourned to July 5th.
