Wade Mark sworn in as Acting President

Beginning today, Senate President Wade Mark will be the Acting President of Trinidad and Tobago.

He was sworn in by Chief Justice, Ivor Archie, in a ceremony at the Office of the President earlier today.

The Acting President assumes the duties of President Christine Carla Kangaloo, who left the jurisdiction earlier today.

A release from the President’s Office says Her Excellency met with Mr Mark last Tuesday, but did not say how long he would be in acting in this role.
