Beginning today, Senate President Wade Mark will be the Acting President of Trinidad and Tobago.
He was sworn in by Chief Justice, Ivor Archie, in a ceremony at the Office of the President earlier today.
The Acting President assumes the duties of President Christine Carla Kangaloo, who left the jurisdiction earlier today.
A release from the President’s Office says Her Excellency met with Mr Mark last Tuesday, but did not say how long he would be in acting in this role.
