Vybz Kartel will not appear at the One Caribbean Music Festival tonight.

According to a statement from his team, this is due to the non-fulfilment of contractual obligations by the event’s promoter.

The Festival is scheduled to be held at the Queen’s Park Savannah in Port of Spain today.

The statement says “Despite numerous efforts to resolve the issues over the past couple of months, the promoter was unable to fulfil the stipulated requirements as outlined in the performance agreement.”

Kartel’s team adds that while he has always been committed to delivering captivating and unforgettable performances for his fans, “we cannot in good conscience allow him to participate in an event where the organisers have not honoured their basic contractual obligations. We value professionalism and respect in all business dealings, and we expect the same in return.”

His team goes on to thank T&T’s Government for granting the artiste permission to enter the country for the event, as well as fans for their continued love and understanding.
