A 19-year-old Venezuelan national has been held for stealing agricultural equipment.

Last Thursday, a team from the Praedial Larceny Squad responded to a report of larceny at the Orange Grove Farming estate.

They conducted a thorough search of the area and eventually recovered stolen farming equipment.

The items were: a 250 Stihl weedwacker, an electrical backpack sprayer and a royal condor backpack sprayer.

The 19-year-old was also apprehended.

The Agriculture Ministry says the successful operation highlights the dedication and effectiveness of the Praedial Larceny Squad in combating agricultural theft and protecting farmers.
