The University of the West Indies has announced the promotion of three new professors.

They are:

• Professor Festus Olutoge – Professor of Structural Engineering at the St. Augustine Campus
• Professor Carmel Roofe – Professor of Curriculum Studies at the Mona Campus
• Professor Caryl James – Professor of Eating Disorders, Body Image and Mental Health at the Mona Campus

The University says the promotion of these professors to its highest academic rank was the result of a rigorous review of the quantity and quality of their research, publications, teaching, and other professional activities by both internal and external assessors.
